Purchased in August 2022, the new owners set about refurbishing the old site and in February 2023 the decision was taken to close completely and rejuvinate the old buildings to commence a whole new and exciting project.
What you see today is the culmination of eight months hard work from a large group of skilled, local tradespeople who have tirelessly worked to lay the foundations on this exciting new venture. Finished off in fine detail, no stone has been left unturned in our aspiration for perfection.
We trust, with our customers’ support, we will continue to drive the business forward to become not just a destination for visitors from near and far but also a much needed community hub for all our local people to enjoy.
You will be welcomed by our friendly receptionists, Tracey and Claire, who will be happy to help and answer any of your questions.
As you make your way through reception you will see that we have already completed the Lounge and Bar area together with the 40 seater Borders Restaurant and to your right, the Farm Shop and the Garden Centre. All this area will be managed by Phil Jackson, a true Yorkshireman with 30 years retail experience across major stores and, more recently, managed local pubs and restaurants. Phil and all of his team are a great asset to the business and they are looking forward to meeting you all.
The Farmhouse and Barn are nearing completion and these luxury, country retreats will be available to book directly with us or through our partner site, SykesHoliiday Cottages. The Barn has eight bedrooms and will sleep 24 guests, includes a cinema room, a games room and an outdoor hot tub. The Farmhouse has seven bedrooms, for 18 guests and an outdoor hot tub, both properties benefit from many additional luxuries that you would expect from a 4 star property. Hire them separately or our internal door allows for one big family gathering
We have five holiday lodges currently being manufactured that are designed for two couples.or families. With en-suite bedrooms at either end allowing for privacy and a luxury central living accommodation everyone can enjoy their holiday together in these beautiful bespoke lodges. Again, these will be available to book direct or through Sykes.
We are committed to creating jobs for local people of all ages, to buy local produce wherever possible and to showcase some very talented local craftspeople. The Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and we are so fortunate to live and work in this stunning location. From Ingleton to our north, Skipton to our east, Clitheroe to our south and Dunsop Bridge to our west we cover the Craven district of North Yorkshire, the historic West Riding, the beautiful Ribble Valley and the picturesque village of Dunsop Bridge, the renowned Ordnance Survey centre of the United Kingdom. The amazing hand painted wall mural in the Lounge Bar shows Bowland Forest Farm right in the heart of the North West of England. We are delighted to be here and to support the local community.
